YUKI Bali Welcomes Bartiga for TWO Exclusive Guest Chef Events

Get ready for an epic culinary rendezvous as Executive Chef Yudha Permana of YUKI Bali, the ultimate Japanese-inspired hotspot, teams up with Founder Charlie Kelly and Chef Faheem Noor of Sydney's new Southeast Asian diner Bartiga, meaning 'The Three of Us' in Bahasa Indonesian.

Noor brings a wealth of experience having cooked with Gordan Ramsey in London, as well as stints at both Tetsuya's, and Empire Lounge in Sydney. At Bartiga, he draws on his Malaysian heritage and culture to create dishes that are big on flavour.

"Charlie and I look forward to joining Chef Permana and his team at YUKI for this special collaboration. We are excited to showcase our Modern Australian with Southeast Asian menu in Bali, and hope this is the first of many collaborations where we can create memorable culinary and cultural experiences. This also has special meaning for us as Bartiga translates to 'The Three of Us' in Bahasa, Indonesian." - says Chef Faheem Noor.

On Thursday 13 June at YUKI Canggu and Saturday 15 June at YUKI Uluwatu, a special a la carte menu will be available with a twist on YUKI’s classics, alongside Bartiga’s signature dishes. Expect Oysters with rice wine mignonette;  Beef Rendang Sausage Roll with coriander chutney; Duck Tacos on betel leaf with French-style confit duck legs, tamarind sauce, fried onions and mango; Kingfish Crudo with nam jim dressing, crispy shallot and coriander; Prawn Toast Sando; Tom Yum spaghettini with mussels, clams, and scampi; Scotch MB4 with Asian soft herbs, chimichurri and crispy onion; and Pandan Crème Brûlée for dessert.

Bartiga cocktails have been created by mixer and shaker Alex Raclet with highlights including the House Spritz (Lemoncello, elderflower liqueur, prosecco, yuzu soda and rosemary) and Bartiga Martini (vodka, apricot brandy, blood peach, lime and mint), as well as some bespoke cocktails to celebrate the events too: Bali Sunset and Borneo Mule coming soon.

Rai Sutama, owner of YUKI, says: "We've been friends with the owners of Bartiga for many years, and we're thrilled to have them join us at YUKI for these events. We’ve been watching their new venue unravel in Sydney and been counting down the days until they join us on the island. Their creativity and passion for food complements our vision of celebrating culture and exceptional flavours."
